Application for school attendance incentive fee (for children in special needs classes in 2020)

Inagi City will provide expenses such as elementary and junior high school supplies and school lunch fees to parents who fall under the following categories according to their income.
If you wish to receive this benefit, please submit an application.
Please note that an application is required every year. Those who received study aid or study encouragement in the previous year should also apply again.
The application deadline for initial certification is Tuesday, April 30, 2020 .
Notices and application forms for the school attendance incentive system will be distributed to children attending public elementary and junior high schools in the city through their schools in April.

Those eligible for school attendance incentives

Eligible applicants are those who live in Inagi City and whose children are enrolled in special needs classes at elementary or junior high schools in the city, or who have a degree of disability that meets the criteria set out in Article 22-3 of the Enforcement Order of the School Education Act.

The School Attendance Assistance Scheme is a more generous scheme than the School Attendance Encouragement Scheme. If your household is eligible, please apply for the scheme separately (you cannot receive both).
Even if you are not eligible for school assistance, if you are eligible for school encouragement, please fill out the necessary information on the application form and apply. If you submit a single "2024 School Assistance and Encouragement Grant Application Form", you can be reviewed for the school encouragement grant even if your school assistance grant application is denied.
Note: Even if you are not eligible for school assistance, if you moved to Inagi City on or after January 2, 2024, you will need to submit the same documents as those for school assistance. Please check the "Parents who moved to Inagi City on or after January 2, 2024" section of the school assistance application.

From application to notification of results

Please submit one "Application for Tuition Support Fee/Encouragement Fee" for each household.
Families with siblings attending elementary or junior high schools in the city will likely receive multiple application forms, but only one needs to be submitted per household.
The application form for both the School Attendance Assistance System and the School Attendance Encouragement System is the same.

Application deadline

To receive the initial April certification, please submit by Tuesday, April 30, 2020.
If submitted by April 30th, a notification of the results will be mailed to the applicant's address in early July.

If submitted after that time, you will start receiving benefits based on the date of submission. If you apply by the 15th of the month (or the next business day if the 15th is a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday), you will start receiving benefits from that month. If you apply after the 16th, you will start receiving benefits from the following month. , each will start receiving benefits. A notification of the results will be mailed to the applicant's address approximately one month after application.
Note: The last day to receive tuition assistance fees and tuition incentive fees for 2020 is February 28, 2020 (Friday).

Classification will be determined based on income and welfare standard amount, and payments will be made as follows according to the classification.
Approximate classification (for a four-person household): Category 1/2 → Households with a total household income of approximately 8 million yen or less, Category 3 → Households with a total household income of approximately 8 million yen or more The following amounts are subject to change.

Those who received the new admission school supplies fee before enrolling will not be paid the new admission school supplies fee. This allowance will be paid to first-year students who receive certification in April. Payment will not be made if certification is received after May.

Please pay the school lunch fee until you receive the screening results. If your child is certified as being in Category 1 or 2 of the School Encouragement, school lunch fees will be stopped and the amount already paid will be refunded.

Your child commutes to school by train or bus.

We will check your route, so please attach a copy of your commuter pass, etc. to the "Application Form for Subsidy Grant for Special Needs Education Schools" and submit it.

Your child will go to a school with a special needs class that is different from the school district where he or she lives without using the train or bus.

Please submit the "Application for Subsidy for Special Needs Education Classes".

Parents must accompany their children to and from school by train or bus.

All of the above will be paid for the months that are subject to certification, excluding August.

The actual cost is calculated based on one month's worth of the cheapest route and longest period commuter pass. Therefore, please understand that the amount may not match the amount you actually purchased for a commuter pass, etc.
