For children with moderate hearing loss who are not eligible for a disability certificate (hearing impairment), we will subsidize part of the cost of purchasing hearing aids to promote the improvement of language acquisition, daily living skills, communication skills, etc. through the use of hearing aids.
If you wish to use this service, please be sure to consult with the Disability Welfare Division in advance.
Those who meet all of the following criteria: (1) Children under the age of 18 who reside in Inagi City; (2) Those whose hearing in both ears is approximately 30 decibels or higher and who are not eligible for a disability certificate (hearing impairment); (3) Children who a doctor has determined will be able to achieve a certain level of benefit in language acquisition, etc., by wearing hearing aids.
144,900 yen Note: In principle, the allowance is paid for one ear. If it is deemed necessary and effective for educational or lifestyle reasons, the allowance may be paid for both ears.
Note: Repair costs are not covered.
Note: The cost of accessories (wireless microphones, receivers, audio shoes) may also be covered.
Taxable households will be required to pay 10% of the lesser of the standard price of the hearing aid or the purchase cost. Non-taxable households will not be required to pay any user fees. Any amount exceeding the standard price will be borne by the user.
Please submit the following required documents to the Disability Welfare Division:
(1) Application for hearing aid purchase subsidy (2) Opinion letter for granting hearing aid purchase subsidy (3) Estimate prepared by the hearing aid sales company (based on the opinion letter)
