Welfare benefits for elderly and disabled foreign residents in Japan

Welfare benefits will be provided to elderly or disabled Japanese and foreign nationals living in the city.
Please apply if applicable.

Target audience

Foreigners living in Japan who have continued to live in Japan since before March 31, 1986, who are currently registered as residents in Inagi City and do not meet the requirements for receiving public pensions, but who fall under any of the following notes: : Foreigners residing in Japan, etc.: Special permanent residents stipulated in Article 3 of the Special Act on Immigration Control for persons who have renounced their Japanese nationality based on the peace treaty with Japan, and persons recognized by the mayor as equivalent.
1. Those born before April 1, 2015
2. Persons with moderate or higher disabilities who were born before January 1, 1963, and who had moderate or higher disabilities before January 1, 1981.
3. Those who were born before January 1, 1950 and became disabled to a moderate degree or higher between January 1, 1980 and March 31, 1988.

Note: This does not apply to people who are receiving similar benefits from other local governments, people who are on public assistance, people who have registered as residents with the city for less than a year, people who are residents of facilities, etc. Please check the details at the time of application.

10,000 yen per month

How to apply

Please bring something that shows your bank account number, your seal, and your disability certificate that shows your payment requirements when applying.
Application forms are available at the counter.
