"Onekan Warrior Inagi Pedalion" has been named!!

On Saturday, November 13, 2021, a new " Inagi City Original Character " was born, designed by mechanic designer Kunio Okawara, symbolizing the bicycle town of Inagi . We solicited public suggestions for the name of this character last year, and received 412 applications. Thank you very much for all your applications.
The decided name was announced at " Mecha Designers Summit Vol. 09 " on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at 2:00 pm.

The name logo and illustrations were created by multi-creator Jet Inoue.

1. A sacred place for cyclists, the Minami-Tama Ridge trunk road is commonly known as “Onekan”
2. "Pedallion" refers to the pedals that are the driving force behind a bicycle.

The name is a combination of these two.

• Postcard or email.
• When applying, please include (1) character name idea, reading, and reason for the name idea, (2) address, (3) name (furigana), (4) age, (5) gender, (6) phone number. Please list all. In addition. If any of the entries in (1) to (6) are incomplete, you will be disqualified.
• If submitting by email, please write "Character Name Application" in the subject line.
• Only one proposed character name may be entered per application. Entries containing multiple character name ideas will be disqualified.
• One person may submit as many applications as they like.

From Monday, November 15, 2021 to Friday, December 24, 2021 (must arrive)

Selection criteria, etc.

• The proposed name must be appropriate for the city's original character.
• The proposed name must be free from the risk of infringing on the rights of third parties.
• Must not be the same as a company name, product name, name related to profit, etc.

Selection method etc.

• The name will be chosen after a selection process by city officials from among the submitted name ideas.
• When deciding on the name, the city may make supplementary decisions.
• If we do not have a suitable work, we may have no choice but to postpone the decision.

• Submitted names must be original and unpublished.
• All rights to the application name belong to Inagi City.
• The decided name will be announced in the city's public relations magazine, etc. Please note that the author of the name has agreed in advance to the publication of the name and author's name.
• The city will use the personal information submitted in the application only for work related to name determination as stipulated in these guidelines, and will manage it appropriately.
