Inagi City

City-wide crime prevention patrol conducted (July 17, 2024)

Last updated: July 19, 2024

The Inagi City Safe and Secure City Planning Promotion Council has set the following goals for this year: "To reduce the number of reported criminal offenses to under 250, to increase the number of participants in the city-wide crime prevention patrols by 10%, and to reduce the amount of damage caused by special fraud to 50% or less compared to last year." The council is working to create a city where people can live safely and securely.
Thanks to the efforts of the local community, Tama Central Police Station, and the city, the number of criminal offenses reported last year was the lowest in Tokyo, as it was the previous year, and the number of offenses per 1,000 people was also the lowest, making it the "safest and most secure city in Tokyo." However, this year, the number of criminal offenses reported compared to last year has been on the rise.
In light of these circumstances, with the aim of creating a safe and secure city, the Safe and Secure City Planning Promotion Council conducted a city-wide crime prevention patrol based at seven locations in the city. On the day, 803 people from a total of 156 organizations participated, making the event a great success.
Thank you very much for your participation and cooperation.
We will continue to strive to create a town where people can live safely and securely, so we appreciate your continued cooperation in this regard.
