Young carers are defined as children and young people who are recognized as providing excessive care for family members and other daily life support.

Young carers may spend time caring for their family, which can impact their studies and employment, but they may not realize the difficulties of their situation, thinking it is just a normal part of life.

To reduce the burden

  1. The surrounding community related to that family notices the young caregiver
  2. Introduction of available services (Long-Term Care Insurance, disability services, etc.)

is necessary.
