School characteristics
The school has over 130 years of history and tradition, and 50-year-old cherry trees line the school grounds, making it a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in the city. This is an area where there is deep cooperation with the PTA and the local community, and where people generously donate their efforts to create a school environment such as forests, ponds, and flower beds.
The most distinctive educational activity is the study of rice cultivation in rice fields, which has been going on for over 30 years. We have a lot of interaction with people, enrich our activities, and continue to move forward as a ``rice field school.''
