From 2023, you will be able to pay taxes using the local tax unified QR code (eL-QR)

A new “local tax unified QR code (eL-QR)” will be printed on payment slips issued after April 2023.

As a result, there are the following changes in the payment of city tax.

You will be able to pay city tax at financial institutions that support unified local tax QR code nationwide.

Payment slips printed with the "Unified QR Code for Local Taxes (eL-QR)" can be used by "Financial Institutions Compatible with the Unified Local Taxes QR Code" (including banks and post offices).

Note: For details of compatible financial institutions, please contact the financial institution or check the frequently asked questions on the "Local tax payment site".

Municipal tax payment methods will be expanded.

The following payment methods are possible using the "local tax payment site" newly established by the Local Tax Agency.

Note: Payment slips issued after April 2023 can be used.

Note: Fees for credit card payment will be borne by the user.
Note: Payment methods may be changed or added.
Note: Smartphone payment app payment and mobile cash register payment using the barcode on the payment slip ended at the end of March 2023.
Note: Receipts will not be issued for payments made using the QR code.
Note: After payment, it takes a certain amount of time for the city to confirm payment, so if you need a tax payment certificate immediately, please pay at a financial institution window or convenience store and present the receipt to the collection section.
