The United Nations has designated December 10th as Human Rights Day to commemorate the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In Japan, December 4th to December 10th is designated as Human Rights Week, and various campaigns are held across the country to spread and raise the idea of respecting human rights.
The Ministry of Justice and the National Federation of Human Rights Defenders accept consultations regarding familiar human rights issues.
