Through interaction with peers of different ages and living environments, we aim to develop the qualities and abilities necessary to play an active role as leaders in the community and society.

Inagi citizens between 15 years old (junior high school students not allowed) to 26 years old

In addition to the above, you will also participate as a leader in local events and junior worker seminars.

Inagi City Youth Committee

This year, restrictions on activities due to COVID-19 were lifted, and we once again had to think about how we would continue our activities for the year. Together with our friends who started working as youth workers at a time when activities could not be fully carried out due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we ran through the year with our limited experience, fresh ideas, and momentum, while relying on the help of our seniors.
This year, I also had many opportunities to organize the plans for each month, which allowed me to reaffirm my role within the team and grow even more. In the process of holding meetings and summarizing the opinions we each gave to improve things, we never have the same discussions every time, so it's always fresh and interesting.
And it feels great when the children work on the completed game and tell me they enjoyed it. Sometimes it works as intended, but sometimes there are areas that need improvement that I notice after trying it out. It's like completing the game together with the children, and I learn something new every time.
This opportunity to grow together with my teammates and children through the seminars is extremely valuable. I am sure that the experience and wisdom I gained from this activity can be put to good use not only here but also in other communities. I will continue to work hard every day to continue to hold fun activities.

I had a hard time thinking ahead.
I often act without thinking about the consequences and regret later, and even if I was aware of it, it was not easy to correct. In the youth worker meetings, I not only thought about it and enjoyed it, but also planned in detail what the purpose was, how to proceed, what was needed, and what points to be careful about. Thanks to that, I have now acquired the "ability to see ahead," such as making a schedule and checking the actions before doing something.
These are the things that have helped me grow as a youth worker.
