Japan is a country with many earthquakes. In the Disaster Prevention Division, when a major earthquake such as the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred in 2011 occurs, the lives of citizens (Shimin) I work to protect my family and property, and to minimize damage as much as possible.

If a disaster occurs...

Ensure your own safety.
Move to an evacuation site (hinanbasho) or a shelter (hinanjo).
There are many others. Let's think about it together! !
In preparation for an unpredictable disaster, please make sure that you and your family know which shelter you will go to. Let's talk to each other firmly, and let's always be able to gather together if something comes up.
What is scary in an earthquake is fire. Inspect and maintain fire appliances on a daily basis to create an environment that does not emit fire from the house. Let's put our hearts into it.
In addition, the Disaster Prevention Section helps out with a fire brigade made up of local people. The members of the fire brigade put out the fire together with the members of the fire department. We are working to protect the town where we live.

To protect everyone's lives...

Inagi City is making various preparations for earthquakes. We hold disaster prevention seminars and other events as disaster prevention measures for people living in Inagi City. .
