Hospital midwifery

This is a system that subsidizes the delivery expenses of women who are unable to be hospitalized to give birth for financial reasons.
(Application must be made before the birth, so please contact us as soon as possible.)

The following households may be eligible for the system: (A) households receiving public assistance and households receiving support benefits under the Act on Promoting the Smooth Return of Japanese Nationals Remaining in China and Supporting Their Independence After Permanent Return; (B) households exempt from resident tax; (C) households that are subject to resident tax but are only subject to the flat-rate tax amount.
Note: You may not be eligible depending on the amount of the maternity and childcare lump-sum payment.

The expenses required for childbirth will be subsidized.
Note 1: You must be admitted to a hospital or maternity hospital that is approved as a midwifery facility.

After your interview with the person in charge , you will be asked to fill out an application form.
(We recommend that you reserve your interview in advance by phone.The interview will take approximately 1 hour.)

• The applicant's [Individual Number Card] or [Notification Card] and [Identification document (driver's license, passport, etc.)] (For details, please ask the person in charge when booking your interview.)
