The Basic Plan for Promoting the Use of the Adult Guardianship System is a plan regarding measures to support rights protection and promote the use of the adult guardianship system, based on the Act on Promotion of the Use of the Adult Guardianship System.
In July 2003, our city established the Tama Southern Adult Guardianship Center as a general incorporated association with five neighboring cities (Chofu, Hino, Komae, Tama, and Inagi) and is jointly operating it. Taking advantage of the results of collaboration at the Tama Southern Adult Guardianship Center, the five cities and the Tama Southern Adult Guardianship Center have worked together to advance rights protection support and the establishment of an operational system for the adult guardianship system. In March 2020, we formulated and promoted the "Chofu, Hino, Komae, Tama, and Inagi Adult Guardianship System Promotion Basic Plan" (hereinafter referred to as the "Common Plan") as a common plan for the five cities. In addition, by indicating the direction of the city's efforts based on the contents of the Common Plan, we formulated the "Inagi City Adult Guardianship System Promotion Basic Plan" in March 2021 as an integral part of the Common Plan.
This plan was formulated in response to the expiration of the planning periods of the "Inagi City Basic Plan for Promoting the Use of the Adult Guardianship System" and the "Common Plan." It takes over the basic principles of the Common Plan, and aims to improve the city's rights protection support system and operate the adult guardianship system in a way that users can feel the benefits of.
