On August 27th (Thursday), a faculty member working at Inagi City Junior High School was found to be positive as a result of a new coronavirus test.
Until August 23rd (Sunday), the faculty member concerned will be on summer vacation and will not have any contact with students or faculty members. I participated in the opening ceremony on August 24th (Monday) and went to work, and on the following day, August 25th (Tuesday), although I did not have any classes, I instructed students in club activities where I was an advisor. No distance instruction.
After returning home, I had a fever, and on the 26th (Wednesday), I went to a medical institution and underwent a PCR test.
The Board of Education has decided to temporarily close the 28th (Friday) and 29th (Saturday) in order to thoroughly disinfect the school and take measures to prevent infection.
At present, no other students or faculty members have symptoms such as fever, but we are confirming with the public health center whether the students and faculty members are close contacts and what measures are necessary. We will take necessary measures as soon as we receive instructions from the public health center.
The new coronavirus infection continues to be in a situation where convergence is not foreseeable. There is a high percentage of positive cases for which the route of infection is unknown, and there is a trend toward increased infections not only in community-acquired infections but also in households. Under the new lifestyle, even if we try to prevent infection, we do not know when and where anyone will be infected.
As the response to COVID-19 is protracted, we would like to ask all citizens to avoid prejudice and unfair discrimination against those who are infected, those who have had close contact with them, and medical personnel who are struggling on the front lines. Please be considerate of human rights and personal information protection and act calmly so as not to slander.
Let's do our best together so that we can return to a peaceful life as soon as possible.
