At around 12:00 on October 8, 2024, a male deer was spotted near the border between Renkouji 5-chome and 6-chome in Tama City. If you see a deer nearby, please be sure to take the following precautions:
Deer do not stay in the same place, so please be careful even in the areas where sightings have been reported.
In addition, since there have been no reports of contact with humans or the risk of human harm, deer will be watched as wild animals from the perspective of the Wildlife Protection and Management Act. However, wild deer may become harmful if humans try to harm them or if they become accustomed to being fed by humans.
If you feel that you are in danger, such as being at risk of being injured, please call 110.
For consultations and inquiries regarding the protection and management of wild birds and animals, please contact the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
