Inagi City and the Suntory Group signed an agreement on the "bottle to bottle" recycling business (started on April 1, 2022)

Inagi City and the Suntory Group (Suntory MONOZUKURI Expert Ltd., Suntory Beverage & Food Ltd.) will announce a new PET bottle recycling initiative, the "bottle to bottle" recycling business, on May 19, 2021 (Wednesday). We will conclude an agreement and start the business from April 1, 2022.

This agreement aims to promote horizontal recycling of recycled PET bottles from households in Inagi City, realizing “local production for local consumption” of PET bottles and “visualization” of recycling. , contribute to the formation of a sustainable resource recycling society.

1. It is possible to increase the reuse rate of used PET bottles transported from the city to approximately 100%.
2. By using recycled PET bottles at the Suntory Tamagawa Factory (Daimaru), we will realize "local production for local consumption" of PET bottles and "visualization" of recycling for citizens.
3. By continuing to recycle plastic resources, citizens, governments, and businesses will work together to realize a "sustainable recycling-oriented society" and contribute to the promotion of the SDGs.
