It has been 42 years since the Inagi Citizen Charter was established. (November 2020)

Inagi Citizen Charter
Our town, Inagi, has been nurtured by the lush greenery of Tama's Yokoyama and the clear waters of the Tama River since the Jomon period.
We have established a citizen charter in order to live in this town, love this town, and create a spiritual hometown filled with peace and friendship forever.
Let each citizen use this Charter as a guide to their hearts and work together to make the city a more prosperous place.

1. Let's create a city with the scent of earth by valuing the sun and greenery.

Let's have awareness as citizens and help each other to create a livable town.

Let's take care of children from the first year and create a town that nurtures the power of young people.

Let's create a town where people can work in good health both physically and mentally and with a smile.

1. Respect traditional culture, enhance culture, and create a town with a bright future.

Greetings from Chairman Ikemizu, Inagi Citizen Charter Promotion Council

I have been involved in the Citizens Charter for 28 years now. (As of November 2021)

I believe that a provision that is familiar and understandable to everyone and that expresses semi-permanent ideals will not be embarrassing wherever it is published, and is something that we can be proud of. In order to spread this civic charter to everyone, we have developed projects every year. Town development is progressing, a wide variety of people have become Inagi citizens, and the diversification of values is progressing. As urbanization advances, we would like to continue our awareness-raising activities so that the citizens' charter can serve as an opportunity to foster a sense of solidarity among citizens.

Would you like to join us?

What is a Civic Charter?

For the development of a livable town, it is necessary for each individual to accumulate small efforts to make this town even better.
Citizens Charter is a summary of citizens' wishes to live in peace forever and what they want to keep in mind for that purpose.

42 years since the birth of the Citizens Charter (November 2020)

In the 1970s, Inagi City continued to develop from a quiet farming village to a residential city on the outskirts of the capital.

Therefore, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the implementation of the municipal government, we enacted a citizen charter (November 1, 1981), and citizens joined hands to raise civic awareness and solidarity, and together we decided to promote a more prosperous city development. bottom.

Inagi Charter Promotion Council

This council was established to develop a city-wide movement for the Civic Charter.

We are the only member of the National Civic Charter Movement Liaison Council in Tokyo. This is a place where people involved in civic charters in each city gather once a year to exchange opinions and study. You can see that every town is squeezing wisdom and creative ingenuity for enlightenment activities.

In the last 40 years, the population has doubled and the number of households has increased by about 2.8 times, and is expected to continue to grow.

In order to protect the rich nature of this town, to continue to be a crime-free town where people can live with peace of mind, and to make it a town full of friendship by talking to each other. It can be said that it is a guideline that can move towards.

We cannot stop the steps left by our predecessors. Today we are making progress step by step.
