Space radiation dose local measurement result of i Plaza (April 1, 2017 update)

Last updated: April 1, 2017

In the i-Plaza facility, we measured the air radiation dose based on the city's air radiation dose measurement response policy, so we will announce the results.
In addition, in this measurement, there were no places that required cleaning, etc. (places exceeding the judgment standard value (0.23 microsieverts per hour)).

Measurement results (conducted in 2016)

Name of facility measuring date weather Measurement location Measured value (unit: microsieverts per hour)
1 centimeter on the ground
i plaza March 10 sunny In front of the main entrance 0.129
Beside the bicycle parking lot on the west side 0.074
art terrace 0.135
Parking lot side rainwater basin 0.070
parking lot grating 0.082

【explanation】
When converted from 0.23 microsieverts per hour to 0.99864 millisieverts per year, the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) recommends that the normal dose of radiation received by ordinary people (below 1 millisievert per year (natural radiation dose, etc.) (Excluding)), so this value is the city's judgment standard value.
According to the Ministry of the Environment's "Decontamination Guidelines", if the radiation dose at 1 meter of the ground is below 0.23 microsieverts per hour, no further action will be taken, but the city is on the safer side. We stand and make judgments based on the measurement results at the point closest to the object (1 cm on the ground).
