Guide to creating a condominium disaster prevention manual

After the Great East Japan Earthquake, even in condominiums that are said to be resistant to earthquake disasters, issues such as amplification of shaking on upper floors, overturning, falling, and shifting of furniture, and people becoming trapped in elevators became apparent.

Particularly in Tokyo, where a capital-direct earthquake is expected, it is becoming increasingly important for each management association to create a system for preparing for a major earthquake based on the circumstances of each individual condominium.

In order to reduce such damage, it is essential for each person to "self-help" by preparing for disasters on a daily basis, and "mutual assistance" in which condominium residents cooperate with each other. Using this manual as a reference, create a manual for advance countermeasures and activities in the event of a disaster, tailored to the actual situation of each condominium, and increase the disaster prevention capabilities of the entire condominium.
