The Cabinet Office considered revising evacuation information in light of lessons learned from Typhoon No. 19 of 2019 and other hazards. As a result, the Office revised the "Guidelines for Evacuation Recommendations, etc." to "Guidelines for Evacuation Information" in order to make evacuation information using alert levels easier to understand.
With the aim of residents "protecting their own lives" and the city "doing everything in its power to support residents in taking appropriate evacuation actions," the city will issue evacuation orders using alert levels and provide evacuation information and actions that residents should take based on five alert levels so that residents can understand the meaning of the information.
[Alert level 3] Evacuation of elderly people, [Alert level 4] Evacuation order, [Alert level 5] Emergency safety ensured
[Alert Level 3] For evacuation of the elderly, etc., those who require time to evacuate (such as the elderly) will need to evacuate from dangerous areas.
[Alert Level 4] When an evacuation order is issued, everyone will be evacuated from the dangerous area.
The city plans to revise the Inagi City Evacuation Recommendation Judgment and Communication Manual and also revise the data on the Inagi Disaster Prevention Map. When there is a risk of wind, flood, or landslide disasters, be sure to pay attention to disaster prevention information, think about disaster prevention on a daily basis, and prepare for disasters so that you can take appropriate evacuation actions.
In addition, as reference information for residents to make decisions when taking action, we also provide warning levels such as designated river flood forecasts, river water level information, heavy rain warnings, landslide warning information, landslide risk distribution, etc. announced by the Japan Meteorological Agency. Provided as equivalent information.
