Received a letter of appreciation for preventing bank transfer fraud

Last updated: January 28, 2015

Last year, we received a letter of appreciation from the Metropolitan Police Department in the name of the Deputy Inspector General, addressed to city officials and Inagi City Hall, for two cases in which we were able to prevent bank transfer fraud through the actions of city officials.
In one case, when a citizen contacted the city about receiving a phone call requesting a bank transfer, the city warned the city not to make the bank transfer, and cooperated with the police to prevent bank transfer fraud.
Second, after receiving a call from the Tama Chuo Police Station that calls for bank transfer scams were occurring frequently in the Hirao area, city officials went to unmanned ATMs in Hirao to warn citizens and prevent bank transfer scams. It's a case.

In the future, the city will continue to work on crime prevention activities, including special fraud countermeasures such as bank transfer fraud, with the aim of making the city a safe and secure city.
