When a person insured under National Pension No. 1 gives birth, they are exempt from paying national pension insurance premiums for a certain period of time before and after giving birth.
"National Pension No. 1 insured person" whose birth date is after February 1, 2019
National pension insurance premiums are exempted for four months from the month before the month in which the expected date of birth or the date of birth belongs. In addition, in the case of multiple pregnancies, national pension insurance premiums are exempted for six months from three months before the expected date of birth or the month in which the date of birth belongs.
Note: Childbirth refers to childbirth after 85 days (4 months) of pregnancy, including stillbirth, miscarriage, and premature birth.
The period recognized as the prenatal and postnatal period is reflected in the amount of old-age basic pension received as if the insurance premium was paid.
Notifications can be submitted from 6 months before the expected delivery date, and after the birth.
