Those who are certified as needing long-term care or support

(Long-term care prevention) Payment of housing renovation expenses

We will provide housing renovation costs so that you can live comfortably in a familiar home.

<Application required in advance>
An application must be submitted to the city office prior to the renovation work. Please consult with the care manager in charge or the Regional Comprehensive Support Center, decide the construction site and contractor, and apply at the city window.

<Can be repaired at a partial cost>
The cost limit is 200,000 yen per person for the same house. (In principle, only once.)
If the limit is within 200,000 yen, it can be used in several installments.
If you move or if your level of care needs rises to a certain level, you will be paid again.

<Reimbursement payment and acceptance payment>
・Reimbursement payment: After the insured person has paid the full amount to the business operator, the city will pay the insurance benefit to the insured person.
・Receiving entrusted payment: The insured person pays the business operator only the amount of the cost burden, and the city directly pays the insurance benefit to the business operator.

Those who have been certified as “non-applicable (independent)” in certification for long-term care

This benefit is provided to people aged 65 or over who are recognized by the city as needing home renovations to prevent long-term care. If necessary, we can install handrails or remove steps, so please contact the Elderly Welfare Division.
